The Amber Valley Start Guard safeguards the voltage in the starting battery by eliminating the possibility of a Tail Lift, Passenger Lift or double deck Trailer Lift discharging the starting battery to a level where the vehicle is left stranded. The Start Guard constantly monitors the battery voltage. If the voltage drops below a predetermined level (sufficient to start the engine) the unit will tell the operator by means of a real speech alarm that: 1. There is one more operation either up or down. This eliminates the possibility of loads or people being stranded in mid-operation. Following the last operation the engine must be re-started. 2. The engine must be re-started. When the engine has been re-started and the voltage has risen, the unit automatically resets itself.
